Available Degree Concentrations

All Yeshiva programs are offered in any one of the specializations below, though each requires their own minimum number of courses in that specialization as described on their respective pages.
  • Apologetics
  • Biblical Languages
  • Biblical Studies
    • B'rit Hadasha (New Testament)
    • Tanakh (Old Testament)
  • Jewish & Church History
  • Messianic Theology
  • Near Eastern Studies
  • Pastoral Ministry

Customizing a Concentration

Due to the nature of how the Yeshiva courses are structured, a student is able to create a customized degree concentration of their own, provided the appropriate number of credits can be obtained to consider it a concentration. This means the number of concentration core classes must be met in the desired concentration.

For example, the Th.B in Apologetics requires a minimum of 8 courses in Apologetics, and the Th.B in Pastoral Ministry requires 8 courses in Pastoral Ministry. If a student desired to create a custom specialization in, say, Worship Studies, he/she would be required to submit 8 course syllabi with his/her mentor for approval that would cover the necessary courses for a concentration. Upon obtaining approval from Yeshiva staff, the student would then be able to complete all concentration core classers in Worship Studies. After completing these and the other necessary classes and electives, the student could opt to receive their Bachelor of Theology (Th.B) in Worship Studies. This would be reflected on their diploma once awarded.

Note: all custom concentrations must have written approval from Yeshiva staff.

Courses by Concentration

Each concentration of a degree program has its own minimum number of required courses. Brief course descriptions can be found in the Course Catalog, but here each concentration is given with its own respective courses. Note that some courses fall under multiple concentrations like Atonement Theories and Christology. Additionally, students may select courses that fall under a different concentration, provided they still meet the minimum for their program. Courses outside the minimum can be included as electives.
